Panasonic Floats 100000 Beautiful LED Lights on Water

Japanese Matsushita Corporation, owner of the famous Panasonic brand, has decided to participate at the Tokyo Hotaru Festival in a very special way.The company reportedly celebrated the old Tokyo Firefly Festival by using 100000 special LED lights. Panasonic created a special kind of orb called an "Inoriboshi" that incorporates one of the company's HIT photovoltaic cells, a rechargeable battery, and an LED chip. "Inoriboshi" is Japanese for "Praying Star" and a sensor on the orb makes it light up when it's placed in the water. There shouldn't be any environmental concerns, as all the orbs were collected with a simple net downriver so that they could be re-used with some other occasion.
